For each of the eight topics of the new course, two tests are available. One is a test of the summary sheet.
A selection of the sentences on the summary sheet are incomplete and students are required
to finish them off. The second test is written to assess the degree to which the student
has acquired the knowledge and skills as layed out in the study guide. Naturally, answers
are supplied for the second test. They come in the form of a second file of the test with
the questions completed. This file can be printed by a colour inkjet printer on
overhead transparency plastic or displayed from a notebook with a data projector so the answers can be displayed while the teacher reviews
the test with the students.
If the summary test is given and corrected in class a few days before the second test, the students will receive feedback
on whether they 'know their stuff' and gives them time to rectify the situation if they don't.
See the Ordering page for details on how to obtain the tests. None are available to download
so students cannot obtain them.
